Kernon Dillon has authored over 14½ hours of well-received Blender video tutorials along with the creation of many learning tools such as Blender Keystroke Translators for Maya and Lightwave users, and an interactive Blender Knowledge Test. His dedication to the sharing of the joys of using Blender is an on-going endeavor with no end in sight.

His active involvement in the Blender community has led to many fulfilling associations and opportunities including:

  • Creator and webmaster of the BlenderNewbies blog which has continuously grown in popularity. BlenderNewbies is currently on track to increasing its traffic by 300% over last year's traffic.

BlenderNewbies is a resource for learning Blender 3D. There are video tutorials (direct downloads and torrents), PDFs, tests, tools, and .blend files. Our goal is to cover a wide range of subjects while maintaining a presentation style that allows even beginners to keep up when things get to be more advanced.

  • An opportunity to attend SIGGRAPH 2007 with Press credentials but, there were schedule conflicts (darn it!). Maybe next year...
  • Texture Photography credit in the world's first open-source film, "Elephants Dream", created with Blender and other open-source applications.
  • proofreader for BlenderArt magazine (a bi-monthly PDF magazine that provides quality learning content for the Blender community.)

(recently resigned from the Proofreader position to allow more time for the creation of video tutorials)

  • A regular participant in Blender discussion forums
